Who Are We?
BT KIDS! is a place where children are valued and where they have the capability of experiencing God in profound ways. Whether it is through worship, lessons, games or talking one on one with a BT KIDS! volunteer, each week our children are learning something new about God and being in His family. What an amazing privilege we've been given to help lay a Godly foundation in their lives and show them the joy of knowing Jesus!
BT KIDS! has many different programs for your child or loved one!
Sunday Services (9am and 12pm):
Sunday Service - Check-In:
Check-In for the 9 am Service is from 8:30 am-9:30 am at Nursery Reception in the basement of 17 Smith Street and in Van der Aa Hall (1B) of 180 Livingston Street.
Check-In for the 12 pm Service is from 11:30 am-12:30 pm at Nursery Reception in the basement of 17 Smith Street and in Van der Aa Hall (1B) of 180 Livingston Street.
After you check your children in, please drop them off in the following locations:
Rivera Hall (2B) – Ages 3 – 6 year olds
Van der Aa Hall (1B) – Ages 7 – 12 year olds
(Children are not admitted once check-in closes.)
Sunday Service Pick-up:
Parents are expected to pick-up their children immediately after the 9 am and 12 pm Worship Services in age/area service locations.

BT Kids! Clubs - Check-In:
Check-In is from 6:45pm-7:30pm in Nursery Reception in the basement of 17 Smith Street and in Van der Aa Hall (1B) of 180 Livingston Street.
(Children are not admitted once check-in closes.)
BT Kids! Clubs - Pick-up:
Parents are expected to pick-up their children immediately after the Prayer Meeting in age/area club locations.

More about BT KIDS! for Parents/Guardians:
- All BT KIDS! volunteers are interviewed, background checked and are given regular trainings by BT KIDS! leadership.
- A nurse is always on-call during all BT KIDS! services.
- All children are given nametags with a security code at check-in. The parent will be given a parent tag with the child's security code. In case parents are needed during a service, the security code is shown on the electronic display board in the 17 Smith Street sanctuary. If parents are sitting in overflow areas, we ask that they please keep their cell phone on vibrate as we will call/text if parents are needed.
- All children must be dropped off and picked up by a parent/guardian or sibling/relative (16 years of age or older). For dismissal, the security tag MUST be presented before the child can leave with the parent/guardian or sibling/relative.
Serve In This Ministry
Eligibility to serve as a BT KIDS! Volunteer:
In order to serve in this ministry, you must be a member of The Brooklyn Tabernacle and have a valid social security number.
Activities and Functions
The following are age ranges in which a volunteer can serve:
Nursery (ages 6-weeks to 23 months)
Toddler (2 years old)
Ages 3 – 4 (Sundays)
Ages 5 – 6 (Sundays)
Ages 7 – 12 (Sundays)
God's Own - Special Needs (Sundays)
REMIX - ages 10 – 12 (Tuesdays)
IMPACT - ages 7 – 9 (Tuesdays)
BACKYARD CLUB - ages 5 – 6 (Tuesdays)
BT KIDS! Design Team (Wednesdays)
BT KIDS! Check-In Team (Sundays and Tuesdays)
Frequency of Service
BT KIDS! volunteers are expected to serve one Sunday/Tuesday a month:
Sundays from 8:30am-2:30pm
Tuesdays from 6pm-9pm.
*Depending on age group, weekly meetings/rehearsals are held for the volunteers during the week leading up to volunteers’ scheduled Sunday.
Length of Commitment
All BT KIDS! volunteers are asked to make a one year commitment to the ministry in order to build relationships and structure within BT KIDS!.
Special Requirements:
Note that a mandatory background check will be given to each worker desiring to be in the ministry, along with an interview to better understand your heart for children.
