Eligibility to Volunteer
In order to serve in this ministry, you must be a member of the Brooklyn Tabernacle or in the process of becoming a member.
Activities & Functions
- Special team mobilizations to distribute invitations to special events at the church (e.g. Christmas productions and Easter dramas.)
- Prayer Stations: The Prayer Station offers members the opportunity to speak and pray with anyone who has a need.
- Attend the quarterly informational evangelism training classes.
- Bring the Gospel to the needy communities of the city, giving a hand and communicating the love of Christ by not just talking about the Love of Christ but by doing and showing people that His love is real and palpable. This includes helping out in outreaches targeted to help the community.
Frequency of Service
Workers are required to be give at least 2 hours bi-weekly: at least 1 hour in evangelism and 1 hour helping to distribute invitation cards after services (once a week). Also, workers must be available to distribute invitations for special occasions as needs arise.
Length of Commitment
All Evangelism ministry volunteers are asked to make a one-year commitment to the ministry.
Due to the physicality of the work of this ministry, all members are required to be in good health, able to stand a minimum of 1 hour unassisted and be able to speak and to pray with anyone at any given time. Workers must be able to follow instructions and, in a spirit of brotherly love and respect, communicate with co-laborers and the public.
