Each of the ministries represent a target group that we are working to reach for Jesus:
- Sponsors - In Belize, students and their families must pay their own tuition, provide their own transportation to and from school, and provide for their own lunches. Through your giving, we're able to provided scholarships for students that want to go to school, but are not able to. These students are from local church families that are devoted to the Lord and their community. They are now able to attend secondary school, and or vocational school/training.
- Sunshine Tutors - We personally knew many young children that were struggling with reading and math; so after much prayer, the Lord put it on our hearts to help them practically by starting a tutoring program. We endeavor to equip struggling students with reading comprehension and math skills. We have certified teachers on staff who work alongside us with the students every Saturday. It is also an opportunity to disciple these young people as we incorporate devotionals consisting of a Bible story, question and answer time, and prayer.
- Freedom House - Freedom House is a re-entry house for men coming out of prison, off the streets, and desiring to be free from drugs and alcohol. Ron conducts weekly Bible studies with these men during which he has the opportunity to unfold the Hope that is in Jesus Christ alone and lead men to the Lord. Many men have been baptized and are now serving in a local church. We have also begun reading comprehension/literacy training for the men.
- Prison Visitation - The work at Freedom House has opened the door for Ron to rotate with other men and conduct a chapel service at Belize Central Prison. Ron has a chapel service once a month at the national prison.
Women’s Bible Study and Hope for Life – Edna teaches weekly Bible studies emphasizing God's love, hope and grace with the clients at Hope for Life, a Christ-centered pre- and post-natal care pregnancy center. Through the work of Hope for Life, women have made decisions to keep and to care for their babies, families have been restored, and women (and some of their husbands) have given their lives to the Lord and have been directed to attend supportive churches.
