The question of when we will be gathering together again has been the subject of much prayer and discussion by our church’s leadership. We are asking God for wisdom as we attempt to follow the guidelines of New York State and New York City regarding the timing for reopening our church campus. At the same time, we are making plans and putting protocols in place to ensure your safety and well-being when we are able to meet again. Stay tuned for updates as more information becomes available.

In the meantime, we hope that you will continue to join us for Tuesday Prayer Onlinebeginning at 7pm; Sunday Worship Online, beginning at 9am; and weekday Devotions Onlinebeginning at 10am. We also invite you to check the Churchwide Announcements on our home page to learn about additional online events for each member of your family.

ECFA is an accreditation agency dedicated to helping Christian ministries earn the public's trust through adherence to Seven Standards of Responsible Stewardship™, which focus on board governance, financial transparency, integrity in fundraising, and proper use of charity resources.

Founded in 1979, ECFA provides accreditation to leading Christian nonprofit organizations that faithfully demonstrate compliance with established standards for financial accountability, fundraising and board governance. Members include Christian ministries, denominations, churches, educational institutions and other tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organizations. Collectively, these organizations represent nearly $20 billion in annual revenue.

Each of the more than 1,600 members of ECFA is in compliance with ECFA's Standards and has functioned for at least 12 months after receiving its 501(c)(3) ruling letter from the IRS (waived for churches that have operated for at least 12 months). Members have received revenues of more than $50,000 during its last fiscal year and have obtained financial statements prepared by an independent CPA.

ECFA membership entitles a ministry to use the ECFA seal and receive other membership benefits. The continuing use of the seal depends on the ministry's good faith compliance with all ECFA Standards.

Capin Crouse LLP began providing professional services to Brooklyn Tabernacle in June of 2008, issuing quarterly reviewed financial statements and conducting the annual audit. We have also been engaged to provide additional services that improve the timeliness and accuracy of internal financial reporting and enhance internal control systems. It has been our privilege to act as Brooklyn Tabernacle's external, independent advisor and to recognize their commitment to financial integrity. Their management has shown a consistent willingness to make critical adjustments as they navigate their growth in this challenging economy and in consideration of the best financial practices in American churches.
