Who Are We?

The Welcome Center Ministry serves to greet and welcome first-time visitors to the church. In doing so, we help to identify areas of interest in the services and resources that the church provides. We also share with them and pray for their needs and give them a gift. We also welcome international visitors.

Eligibility to Volunteer

  • You must be a member of The Brooklyn Tabernacle.
  • You must be comfortable interacting with people whom you do not know and praying with them on a one-to-one basis.
  • You should be a friendly person—one who smiles readily.
  • You need to have some computer skills.

Frequency of Service

The Welcome Center has three shifts — one following each service on Sundays. Ministry workers serve at least one shift on at least two Sundays of each month. You may be asked to serve two shifts on a Sunday based upon the needs of the ministry.

Length of Commitment

All new Welcome Center Ministry volunteers are asked to make at least a one-year commitment.
