SHORT-TERM MISSIONS
We organize regular short-term teams and work in partnership with local ministries to provide ministry services that the local partners can use to help in their existing community outreaches. Our teams conduct medical/dental clinics; children’s and youth programs; business-as-ministry (BAM) seminars/mentorship for local businesspeople and entrepreneurs; computer classes for youth and young adults; vocational classes such as sewing, construction, English as a Second Language (ESL), and discipleship Bible studies. The missions ministry plans and prepares teams to minister in all these areas of service.
Jesus called us to fulfill the Great Commission (see Matthew 28:19–20). This was a command for all of us to go and share the gospel with those who do not know Jesus and to make disciples of all nations. In addition, we are called to fulfill the “Great Compassion” (see Matthew 25:35–36)—meeting the practical needs of the people to whom God sends us. In order for us to be effective witnesses for Christ, we need the power of the Holy Spirit, as described in Acts 1:8.
If you feel called to go on a missions trip with us, clicking on any of the trips in the list below will lead you to the application and preparation processes. Should you have any questions, please contact us at 718-290-2003 or at [email protected].
