NAVAJO NATION

From Theresa Fewell,

Warmest Greetings in the name of our LORD and SAVIOR JESUS CHRIST.  I pray that this email finds you well, and safe under our FATHER’S wings.

It’s been two years since I moved to Arizona, and I thank God to be able to work alongside and under the leadership of Mark & Gail McKeller. Their leadership and wisdom has helped me throughout these years.

Our Friday night youth meetings have been powerful. I’ve witnessed lives being transformed through

the power of the Holy Spirit through lessons, praise and worship, and ministry activities. I have been able to participate in these meetings by teaching Bible verses, teaching on prayer and leading in worship.

I was also privileged to attend a leaders meeting four months ago at Faith Assembly of God church in Holbrook, Az. They did a presentation about Botswana, Africa. The Arizona churches will be raising money for building new churches and digging wells for clean water. Pastor Mark and sister Gail gave me a project to communicate to our youth on the need of financial support for Botswana through Speed the Light, an AG youth ministry initiative. The youth are learning to care for others and give to the poor as they bring their nickels, dimes, and quarters to donate each Friday. Feeding the poor has been a passion of mine. I am so grateful to God for His faithfulness, love, and compassion.

On Easter Sunday during a Sunday School lesson on how the resurrection changes everything, I was able to share my testimony with the youth. Since that Sunday some of the teen girls have been really opening up to me about their personal situations, giving me an opportunity to minister to them personally.

There is a young lady, Charli, who attends our Friday night youth meetings and was blessed to go back to school after missing more than a year of school during the pandemic. I am happy to report that she is graduated from high school. Praise the Lord! Charli got through trials, and she endured and relied on God to be with her while studying for exams. I am also happy that God allowed me to help her, for it is very difficult for Charli and her brother Nelson to get WIFI on the reservation.  I let them stay over at my place several times throughout the school year and it all paid off with God’s help!

I finished my first year as a bus driver for the Holbrook Unified School District the same day as the high school graduation.

James 1:4 says, “Let steadfastness have its full effect, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking in nothing.”

I pray that God will use me beyond measure, through love and support for our beloved Native American sisters and brothers.

•    Please pray for our upcoming camps; may chains be broken, and lives changed through the power of the Holy Spirit.
•    Please keep me and my son in prayer. I pray that Samuel will have a personal relationship with our Father.
•    Pray for traveling mercies. I travel back and forth to the reservation from Holbrook three times a week, 35 miles each way, and at times after dark.
•    Please continue to keep me in your prayers as GOD uses me for HIS glory. May He stretch me out beyond all measure, as He gives me wisdom, knowledge and understanding.

Blessed to be in HIS service!

Sister Theresa
