The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir sings every Sunday at both the 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m. services. The Brooklyn Tabernacle Spanish Singers (a smaller group of choir members) sing every Sunday at our 3:00 p.m. BT Español service.
Our Tuesday evening prayer meeting began decades ago, birthed out of Pastor Jim Cymbala’s longing for God to work in the church’s early challenging days. It is our most important meeting of the week. The Tuesday evening prayer meeting includes praise and worship, times of prayer, and an encouraging message from God’s Word. In recent years, the church has added both the Tuesday and Friday noon prayer meetings, which are times of quiet individual prayer with brief messages of encouragement.
Yes. If you would like prayer with a church leader, please speak to an usher, or come early to our Tuesday evening prayer, where you can pray individually at the front with a leader from 6:00 to 6:30 p.m. You can also submit a prayer request, which our prayer band will pray over for thirty days, by filling out a card in the Smith Street lobby or submitting your request on our prayer page.
BT Español meets every Sunday at 3:00 p.m. for our Spanish-language attendees. The service includes a time of praise and worship with the Brooklyn Tabernacle Spanish Singers, a message from the Bible, and an opportunity for prayer. BT Español is led by Pastor Alex Burgos.
The Brooklyn Tabernacle is a non-denominational Bible-teaching church. Central emphases are prayer, worship in Spirit and truth, teaching from God’s Word, and love in diversity.
