The question of when we will be gathering together again has been the subject of much prayer and discussion by our church’s leadership. We are asking God for wisdom as we attempt to follow the guidelines of New York State and New York City regarding the timing for reopening our church campus. At the same time, we are making plans and putting protocols in place to ensure your safety and well-being when we are able to meet again. Stay tuned for updates as more information becomes available.

In the meantime, we hope that you will continue to join us for Tuesday Prayer Onlinebeginning at 7pm; Sunday Worship Online, beginning at 9am; and weekday Devotions Onlinebeginning at 10am. We also invite you to check the Churchwide Announcements on our home page to learn about additional online events for each member of your family.

Who Are We?

The Hospitality Ministry administers our Christian love, and shows our commitment to Christ Jesus throughout the Body of Christ by serving them in a cordial and cheerful manner.

Eligibility to Volunteer

In order to serve in this ministry, you must be a member of the Brooklyn Tabernacle or in the process of becoming a member.

Activities & Functions

Prepare and serve guests, the pastoral staff, and leaders of the church during events established by The Brooklyn Tabernacle. Hospitality Ministry members serve in various capacities, including serving lunch or dinner in the BT Café or at the Welcome Center – a place where anyone interested in getting information can be greeted and made to feel welcome in Christ's love.

Frequency of Service

Hospitality Ministry workers generally work on Sundays and Tuesdays as well as special church events held throughout the year. Shifts range from 3-4 hours in the BT Café and the Hospitality Suite. Welcome Center workers will serve after each service.

Length of Commitment

All Hospitality Ministry volunteers are asked to make a one-year commitment to the ministry. Members must also attend all quarterly meetings, and be ready to serve when required.
